As part of the Founder Region, Soroptimists International of Rio Vista, is a far sighted, action-oriented, cohesive region, achieving excellence through dedication, innovation, expansion, flexibility and the development of democratic leaders

Soroptimist International of Rio Vista, is in district III of the Founder Region. The Founder Region began on October 3, 1921 as part of Soroptimist International, the world's largest classified volunteer service organization for women in business, management, and the professions.

Be the voluntary organization chosen by all business and professional women committed to improving the lives of women and girls.

We will share our time, talents and financial resources to enrich our communities. Together, we
will:

• improve the lives of women and girls

• help women achieve economic and political equality

• serve as a global voice for women

• provide outstanding leadership development opportunities for women

• enhance world peace and understanding
   

Mission & Core Purpose
To improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world.  In order to accomplish this goal, the organization administers several international programs.  The organization's major project is the Soroptimist Women's Opportunity Awards, which assists women by giving them the resources they need to improve their education, skills and job prospects.
